It ain’t black and white

The human eye can perceive approximately 100 different shades of grey, depending on lighting conditions. That’s just the colour grey. Not to mention red, blue, green, yellow, purple, salmon…

Interestingly, while people tend to have less resistance towards artistic difference of colour, people have resistance towards difference in social aspects of life. Gender discrimination because of gender difference, hostility towards LGBT because of sexual orientation difference, or even difference in habit that results in “it’s not you, it’s me”.

Why do we bracket society into “us” and “them”?
